PD Dr. Dietmar Müller is a senior researcher at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO). He is a co-editor of the planned “International Law and History. Eastern Europe in Global Perspective. A Handbook”. As well, he works at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in a project on „Globalization in the Black Sea Region, 1850-2020)“. He has done research on processes of juridification, propertization and professionalization; he coordinated and conducted research groups on these issues and published extensively on citizenship, landownership and professions. Currently, he deals with the impact of Eastern Europe on International Law. In this, he focusses on the history of international regimes, organizations and institutions, such as International Criminal Law, the minority protection system of the League of Nations, and the European Danube Commission.
